Sagrada Familia, Exterior Details

sagrada-familia-exterior-details-8
Sagrada Familia is not completed. We’ll see it in full beauty only in 2026 as it is said on billboard inside the church. However even now it takes time to see all the exterior details. Numerous sculptures and decorative elements adorn the church. Pretty much the same impression I had by seeing Strasbourg Cathedral.

    • Thank you, Amy. It is Holly Family – Maria, Joseph and Jesus. There are numerous sculptures of them everywhere around the church. Actually, Sagrada Familia in Spanish is the Holly Family.

      • Ah, now I understand, Alexander. Who is funding such an ornate and huge cathedral? I cannot even begin to imagine the cost of this building being built.

      • This church is still under construction and money for that piece of Art coming from people like us. The only funds they have for that purpose are from donations and tickets money from visitors. Government or Businesses do not support that.
