Battery, St. John’s

Coming to the end of the North Head Trail you find yourself in the Battery. Here all the streets are broken and follow the coast line of the bay. The colorful houses and lush vegetation create a fabulous mood. Harsh rocky landscapes turn into friendly and welcoming pictures.

  1. This place doesn’t have a lot of attractions, it is beautiful by its nature, people and serenity. πŸ™‚

  2. I like the narrow streets and the beautifully painted houses. Are these holiday homes? I also particularly like the wall, with the wonderful street art. This is really eye-catching and i think a lot of people stop and look at this work of art.
    Alexander, thank you!

    • Newfoundland mostly has pretty grey, windy and rainy weather. This is why they are trying to colour their life. There are a lot of houses painted. It is not the summer houses, it’s the permanent residential houses, where people live on a daily basis.
You are right about mural on the wall, it caught my eyes. I spent time to see it in details.
      Have a wonderful sunny days!

      • Alexander, I have never visited Newfoundland because it is quite a long way from Germany. But it seems to be a wonderful area and who knows, maybe one day I will be able to look at this wonderful work of art on the wall.
Enjoy the fall, Alexander! πŸ‚πŸ‚ β˜€οΈπŸ‚
