Lunch at Spencer’s Restaurant

Spencer's RestaurantSpencer’s restaurant is a lovely place in Burlington, Ontario at the waterfront of the lake. Absolutely affordable and tasty food. Friendly personal. Amazing view. In the winter time you can watch the skating rink in front of restaurant. At the summer time it turns to the beautiful pond with the fountain.
It is really nice place for the weekend lunch or dinner with lovely companion.
Remember 1975? Lunch plate Oyster Chardone, Niagara reagion

July Morning

July Morning_Canada Day began with silent and foggy morning. While walking along the lake it was nothing to see just grey backdrop. At sunrise the world revived and gained corners and edges. Happy Canada Day!

Swansea

Spring 2015-13Swansea is a neighbourhood in the City of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, bounded on the west by the Humber River, on the north by Bloor Street, on the east by High Park where Grenadier Pond is located and on the south by Lake Ontario. Surrounded by the river, ponds and lakes it attracts a lot of waterfowl. Swans give a special beauty and appeal of this place and attract many visitors to admire them.
Spring is interesting time to observe courtship and the appearance of offspring. Swans do it nicely. They carefully treat their companions, protect them from encroachment of uninvited guests and take care of their offspring.
Swans is one of Swansea hallmarks.

Rescue mission

Duck was frozen to the iceOn my morning stroll alonge the lake shore I’ve met a fellow photographer. His name was Scott and he shared with me his concern about a duck that was frozen to the ice.
It could happen because that night the temperature dropped from +2 to -12 degrees Celsius.
We came to the place and took some attempts to free this poor duck. With no any tools or some special equipment it was pretty difficult to do that. The only things what we had were water and knife. Scott started to pour water from the lake on the ice under the duck and I tried to crush ice with the knife. Ice like a sponge sucked water and became loose. This help us to free the duck from ice prison.
The duck did not say “Thank you” just flew away. lol…
After mission was accomplished I found that Sun is coming. Here are some pictures on that lovely winter morning.

Frosty Morning

It was bright, crispy, windy and cold Sunday morning. Quiet time. You can meet by that time only “early birds”. It is time for walking and thinking. Nothing and nobody bothering. The best time of the day!

Good Friday

Evening on the Lake OntarioWhy do I like that day? That is one of really few days in the year when all the stores are closed and city is looking amazing. There is no rush, no shopping, no cars and people on the streets. No, no, no, there are people on the streets but that is not a weekday people that is different kind of people. They are carefree, quiet, relaxed, and smiling.

This past Good Friday the weather was good – sunny, warm, and springlike. Evening was wonderful and good for walking, thinking and enjoying the life. Somebody suffered for us long time ago and we have to be grateful for that sacrifice.
