The November warm and sunny days are not associated with inclement late fall. Rare windy and rainy days with the flying fallen leaves only emphasize the beauty of this November and fall in general in the city of Toronto. Sunrises and sunsets are extremely beautiful. The afternoon sun still warms and caresses numerous stroll lovers, which are enjoying the last days of the outgoing autumn.
The next Friday in Toronto and nearby cities the Christmas trees will be lit, and we mentally say goodbye to the autumn. This is the beginning of preparations for the meeting of winter and expectations of all seasonal holidays.
On my morning stroll alonge the lake shore I’ve met a fellow photographer. His name was Scott and he shared with me his concern about a duck that was frozen to the ice.
It could happen because that night the temperature dropped from +2 to -12 degrees Celsius.
We came to the place and took some attempts to free this poor duck. With no any tools or some special equipment it was pretty difficult to do that. The only things what we had were water and knife. Scott started to pour water from the lake on the ice under the duck and I tried to crush ice with the knife. Ice like a sponge sucked water and became loose. This help us to free the duck from ice prison.
The duck did not say “Thank you” just flew away. lol…
After mission was accomplished I found that Sun is coming. Here are some pictures on that lovely winter morning.
Yesterday November 1st was light snow and grey and gloomy day. City got its first winter warning. However, do not make any conclusion about Canadian weather if you see rain, snow, and grey sky. Just wait half an hour and enjoy the sunshine.
Today in the morning we had a lovely sunrise although it was pretty cold. The grass and the roofs were covered with the light frost. After sun rose daylight brought back all autumn beauty.
It was bright, crispy, windy and cold Sunday morning. Quiet time. You can meet by that time only “early birds”. It is time for walking and thinking. Nothing and nobody bothering. The best time of the day!
